Outagamie County, Wisconsin

The Fox River Valley is home to Outagamie County. Appleton is the county seat and the biggest city. It has a bit of everything, including museums, parks, and a neat little arts scene.
The Fox River powers through the heart of the county. It used to drive paper mills. Now it’s more about recreation. Native American heritage runs deep here. So does the legacy of Senator Joseph McCarthy. Yeah, that McCarthy. He was born in Grand Chute.
Outagamie County isn’t all about the past though. It’s growing fast. New businesses are popping up left and right. The area has some cool natural features too and is close to Lake Winnebago to the south. It’s a favorite spot for hikers and campers.
