Pushmataha County, Oklahoma

Pushmataha County lies deep in the heart of southeastern Oklahoma. It’s named after a Choctaw chief, and the area still has strong Native American ties. Antlers is the county seat.
The landscape here? It’s something else. Hills, forests, and clear streams everywhere you look. Seriously, it’s like nature went all out. Hunting is huge here. Deer season brings in folks from all over.
The county is mostly rural, with a laid-back vibe that city folks might envy. Logging used to be the main industry, but times have changed. These days, tourism is picking up steam. People come for the Kiamichi Mountains and stay for the friendly locals.
