Red River Parish, Louisiana

Red River Parish is up in northwest Louisiana, not far from Shreveport. It’s small, but don’t let that fool you. The parish gets its name from the Red River, which flows right through it.
Folks here are tough as nails and proud of their roots. You’ll find a mix of farmland and forests, with cotton fields stretching as far as the eye can see.
Coushatta is the biggest town, but it’s no metropolis. Hunting is big here. Deer season’s practically a holiday. Summers are scorching, but the fall colors are something else.
