Rockwall County, Texas

Rockwall County is just east of Dallas. It’s the smallest county in the entire state of Texas. Don’t let its size fool you, though. This place is booming. It’s part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, so you get small-town charm with big-city amenities nearby.
The county is named after a subterranean rock wall discovered by early settlers. Some folks thought it was man-made, but turns out it’s a natural formation. Lake Ray Hubbard forms the county’s western border.
It’s a popular spot for boating and fishing. The county seat, also called Rockwall, has a cute downtown area. On summer evenings, you’ll often find live music and people strolling around. This place has grown like crazy in recent years. New subdivisions are popping up left and right. But it still manages to keep that friendly, Texas feel.
