Spokane County is located in eastern Washington right in the urban heart of the region. It’s right on the Idaho border, anchored by the city of Spokane. The Spokane River runs through town, with dramatic falls right downtown.
Gonzaga University is one of the top athletic universities in the state. There’s more to the county than just the city, though. You’ll find agriculture like fields of rolling wheat. Up north, you’ll find lakes and forests.
Fairchild Air Force Base is a big presence here. The economy is diverse including everything from healthcare to manufacturing. Winters can be tough, but locals embrace the four seasons. It’s a place with a chip on its shoulder, always trying to prove it’s more than just Seattle’s eastern cousin.
