Stevens County, Washington

Stevens County is off the beaten path. It’s way up in the northeast corner of Washington, bordering Idaho and Canada. The Colville National Forest covers a huge chunk of the county.
Small towns are scattered throughout, each with its own character. Colville, the county seat, has a frontier town feel. Kettle Falls was once a massive waterfall along the Columbia River. But not anymore.
Forests dominate the landscape. Logging and mining shaped this place, but those industries aren’t what they used to be. Summers are hot and dry, winters long and snowy. You come here to get away from it all.
