US Counties

Schoharie County sits in east-central New York, west of Albany. It’s a place that flies under the radar with the beautiful Schoharie Valley.

Schuyler County sits in the Finger Lakes region at the southern tip of Seneca Lake. It’s right in the heart of New York’s wine country.

Seneca County is in the middle of the Finger Lakes. It’s actually sandwiched between two of the biggest lakes – Seneca and Cayuga.

St. Lawrence County is the biggest county in New York State outside of NYC. The St. Lawrence River forms its northwest border with Canada.

Steuben County is down in New York’s Southern Tier. It’s actually one one of the state’s largest counties by area. Bath is the county seat.

Suffolk County takes up the eastern end of Long Island, from the suburbs to the beaches. The Hamptons draw celebrities and the wealthy.

The Catskills are calling, and Sullivan County answers. This part of upstate New York is where city folk come to breathe easy.

Tioga County sits in New York’s Southern Tier, right on the Pennsylvania border. Rolling hills and winding rivers define the landscape.

Tompkins County sits in the Finger Lakes region of central New York. It’s home to Cornell University and Ithaca College.

The Catskill Mountains dominate Ulster County. It’s in southeastern New York, about two hours from NYC. People come here to escape the city.

Warren County sits in eastern New York, right in the Adirondacks. Lake George is the crown jewel, which forms the eastern border.

Washington County is right at the eastern edge of New York, bordering Vermont. The Hudson River flows along its western side.

Wayne County is up in the Finger Lakes region. It’s sandwiched between Rochester and Syracuse, right on Lake Ontario’s southern shore.

Westchester County lies just north of New York City. It’s where city slickers go when they want trees and actual yards.

Wyoming County sits in western New York, about an hour southeast of Buffalo. It’s home to Letchworth State Park, the Grand Canyon of the East.
