Pickens County is up in the northwest corner of South Carolina. This is where the Blue Ridge Mountains start to show off.

Brown County sprawls across northeastern South Dakota. Aberdeen, the county seat, is the third-largest city in the state.

Brule County is close to the middle of South Dakota, but in the southeast region. The Missouri River runs along its western edge.
