Alleghany County sits in the northwestern corner of North Carolina, bordering Virginia. It’s up in the Blue Ridge Mountains with fantastic views and outdoor adventures.
Sparta is the only town and serves as the county seat. The New River is one of the oldest in the world and flows through here. It’s quiet and rural. Locals are proud of their heritage.
