Bartholomew County sits in south-central Indiana. Columbus is its county seat, located in the center of the county. The city is mostly known for its modern architecture.

I-65 runs through the western part of the county, connecting it to Indianapolis and Louisville. Mill Race Park has with its distinctive observation tower. The park is a local favorite for outdoor recreation.

The Bartholomew County Courthouse, built in 1874, shows the area’s history. Keep in mind that Brown County State Park, Indiana’s largest state park, is just a short drive away west.
