Butler County, Pennsylvania

Butler County is about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh in western Pennsylvania. It’s where you can still find traces of the old rust belt mixed with new suburban growth.
The landscape’s a patchwork of rolling hills, farms, and woods. Moraine State Park sits along Lake Arthur. You can boat, fish, or just chill on the beaches.
The county has deep ties to the early oil industry. Butler, the county seat, has a cool main street with some great local shops. Saxonburg’s another neat little town, founded by German immigrants in the 1800s.
