rederick County anchors the northern tip of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. Winchester, the county seat, is steeped in Civil War history.

Henry County hugs the North Carolina border in south-central Virginia. It’s Piedmont country, gently rolling hills and hardwood forests.
