Virginia Counties

Manassas is an independent city located in Northern Virginia. It’s southwest of Washington, D.C and lies within the Piedmont region.

Manassas Park is an independent city in Northern Virginia. It’s bordered by both the city of Manassas and Prince William County.

Martinsville is an independent city in southern Virginia. It sits along the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s bordered by Henry County.

Water, water everywhere. That’s Mathews County for you. This little peninsula juts out into the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia.

Mecklenburg County stretches along the Virginia-North Carolina border in the southern part of the state. It’s lake country here.

Newport News is an independent city located in southeastern Virginia. The city spans across the James River and borders the Chesapeake Bay.

You won’t find Northampton County on any “top tourist destinations” list. That’s exactly why this narrow strip of land is worth a visit.

Northumberland County is where Virginia meets the Chesapeake Bay. It’s all about the water here with all of its shoreline. Seriously.

Norton is an independent city located in the southwestern corner of Virginia, nestled in the Appalachian Mountains.

Nottoway County is in south-central Virginia, about an hour southwest of Richmond. The county seat, Nottoway, is a charmer with old buildings.
