New Kent County, Virginia

New Kent County sits in the eastern part of Virginia, right between Richmond and Williamsburg. It’s not huge, but colonial history runs deep here. Just ask the locals. They’ll tell you stories that’ll make your head spin.
The county has two main rivers, the Pamunkey and the Chickahominy. Fishing, anyone? They actually form the southern and northern borders here. But the real claim to fame? Horse racing. The county is home to Colonial Downs, Virginia’s premier racetrack. It’s really popular around here.
Agriculture’s still king, though. Drive through and you’ll see farms for miles. The schools are good, the people are friendly. It’s growing, but slowly. Folks here in New Kent County like to keep things simple.
