Cobb County, Georgia

Cobb Location Map Georgia

Keep on driving north from Atlanta and you’ll hit Cobb County. It’s where the suburbs start and the city fades away, or at least that’s how it used to be. Marietta is the county seat, a town with its own vibe and a big chicken statue to boot.

The Chattahoochee River forms the eastern border, giving a bit of nature in the suburban sprawl. Cobb has changed a lot over the years. Now it’s diverse, growing, and a political battleground. You’ve got your old-timers, your Atlanta commuters, and folks from all over making a new home here.

The county is named after Thomas Willis Cobb, a senator from way back. These days, Cobb is a mix of old and new. You’ve got your Civil War battlefields and your shiny new Braves stadium. It’s bedroom communities and big business parks.
