Fremont County, located in the far southwestern corner of Iowa, borders both Nebraska and Missouri.
Sidney, the county seat, is home to the annual Sidney Iowa Rodeo, one of the oldest and most famous rodeos in the state. Waubonsie State Park has camp sites and is great for a day trip.
The Missouri River marks the county’s western boundary, offering scenic views and opportunities for outdoor recreation. Tabor played a role in the Underground Railroad. You can learn about it at Todd House.
