Cass County, Nebraska

Cass County is located in the eastern part of Nebraska, just south of Omaha. It’s named after Lewis Cass, a 19th-century statesman. Iowa is directly to the east, separated by the Missouri River.
Plattsmouth is the county seat, which sits right where the Platte River meets the Missouri. The landscape here is a mix of rolling hills and river valleys. Farming is big business here.
There’s a growing commuter population heading to Omaha for work. The county’s got some interesting history, including several sites on the National Register of Historic Places. Platte River State Park is a popular spot for hiking and fishing.
