Greene County, Missouri

Greene County holds the third-largest city in the state. That’s right, Springfield occupies most of the southern part of the county (basically south of I-44).
The county is a mix of urban and rural. You can go from downtown to farmland in 15 minutes. Bass Pro Shops started here. It’s like Disneyland for outdoorsy types.
The Ozarks are right on the doorstep with tons of hiking and camping. Missouri State University keeps things lively. There’s always something going on. Wild Bill Hickok had his famous shootout on the square.
