Christian County, Missouri

Southwest Missouri is home to Christian County, a place that’s been growing like crazy in recent years. It’s right next door to Springfield, which explains the population boom.
Ozark is the county seat, a town that’s managed to keep its small-town feel despite all the newcomers. The county got its name from an early settler, not the religion, believe it or not.
You’ll find some beautiful scenery here, with the Finley and James rivers winding through the landscape. The Mark Twain National Forest occupies the southwest corner. The area also has a rich history, dating back to the Osage tribes and early pioneers.
