Hancock County, Tennessee

Hancock County is up in the northeast corner of Tennessee. Blink and you might miss it because it’s one of the state’s smallest counties.
Sneedville is the county seat. It’s named after William Sneed, an early settler. This is Appalachian country, through and through. The Clinch River valley runs right through it.
Folks here are proud of their mountain heritage. You can hear it in the music and see it in the crafts. The scenery is something else. It’s all rolling hills and forests. Then, there’s also Powell River in the northern region.
