Humphreys County, Tennessee

Humphreys County sits in the west of Middle Tennessee, straddling the banks of the Tennessee River. It has a little bit of everything.
The county seat, Waverly, is a piece of small-town America. But head out to Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge and you’re in a whole different world. Waterfowl for days. The Buffalo River is a local favorite for canoeing and fishing.
History’s alive here too. Check out the Johnsonville State Historic Park. It has Civil War written all over it. The annual Waverly Merchants Pumpkin Festival is a fall highlight. Folks here are proud of their land. It shows in how they care for it.
