Huntington County, Indiana

Huntington County is in northeast Indiana, not far from Fort Wayne. Huntington is the county seat, which is home to Huntington University.
While the Wabash River cuts through Huntington, the Salamonie River flows through Mount Etna. Either one has some scenic spots and good fishing.
You’ll see plenty of cornfields here. We recommend to explore the historic Sunken Gardens and Salamonie River State Forest (just to the west). Dan Quayle, the former VP, hails from here. There’s even a museum about him in Huntington.
