Grant County, Indiana

Grant County is in the middle of northern Indiana. Marion is the county seat. It was once a booming industrial town and still has that gritty feel.
It’s home to Indiana Wesleyan University on the south side of Marion. The Mississinewa River cuts through the county, offering some scenic spots.
Summers bring the annual James Dean Festival in Fairmount. Yeah, that James Dean. He grew up here. Gas City gets its name from the natural gas boom days, though that’s long gone.
