Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana

Jefferson Davis Parish sits in southwest Louisiana, about halfway between Lake Charles and Lafayette. The parish is mostly flat farmland, with rice and crawfish as the big crops.
Jennings is the biggest town and parish seat, but it’s still pretty small. Folks here love their Cajun culture. It has good food, music, and laid-back attitudes.
Summers are brutally hot and humid. The county is named after the president of the Confederacy, which might raise a few eyebrows these days.
