Lake County, Tennessee

Lake County is in northwest corner, bordering Missouri and Kentucky. It’s the smallest county in the state. But don’t let its size fool you.
This place is all about water. Reelfoot Lake takes up a good chunk of the county, including the surrounding wildlife area with the same name. It’s not your average lake. An earthquake formed it back in 1811. Now it’s a paradise for fishermen and birdwatchers.
Tiptonville is the county seat, which sits right on the Mississippi River. The views are something else. Ridgely is the only other town in the county. Agriculture is big here and cotton fields stretch far.
