Macon County, Tennessee

If you head north from Nashville, you’ll hit Macon County. It’s right on the Kentucky border. Lafayette is the county seat in the heart of the county.
This place is all about the outdoors. Red Boiling Springs used to be a big deal because it had fancy hotels and mineral baths. Not so much anymore, but you can still see the old buildings. The county has some caves too. Spelunkers love it.
Agriculture is big here. Tobacco, mostly. You’ll see barns everywhere. It’s pretty country. Rolling hills and green fields. The kind of place that makes you want to slow down and breathe deep.
