Smith County, Tennessee

Smith County is a piece of rural Tennessee, about an hour east of Nashville. Carthage is the county seat, sitting pretty where the Cumberland and Caney Fork rivers meet.
This place is all about small-town friendliness and natural beauty. The rivers are a big draw. Smith has some interesting history too. It was a Confederate stronghold during the Civil War. These days, it’s known more for its friendly folks and laid-back lifestyle.
Agriculture is still important here. You’ll see plenty of farms as you drive around. The county has some nice parks and hiking trails. Cordell Hull Lake is a popular spot for recreation. Smith is the kind of place where people know their neighbors. It’s quiet, but not boring.
