Millard County, Utah

Millard County takes up a big chunk of west-central Utah. It’s a place of extremes with blazing hot summers and frigid winters. The Sevier Desert covers much of the county. But there are mountains too, like the Pahvant Range.
Delta’s the biggest town, with about 3,500 folks. Agriculture drives the economy here. Alfalfa fields stretch for miles. The county’s named after Millard Fillmore, 13th president of the U.S.
Topaz Mountain is a magnet for rockhounds searching for topaz and other gems. And don’t miss the Territorial Statehouse State Park Museum in Fillmore. It’s Utah’s oldest existing government building.
