Morgan County, Utah

Morgan County is located just east of Ogden. It’s small in size but big on scenery. The Weber River cuts through it, carving a picturesque valley. Mountains rise on all sides.
Farming and ranching have been a way of life here for generations. But these days, many residents commute to jobs in bigger cities. The county’s only about 50 miles from Salt Lake City.
Morgan City, the county seat, has a population of around 4,000. It’s a tight-knit community where everybody knows their neighbors. The county gets its name from Jedediah Morgan Grant, an early Mormon leader. It’s a piece of rural Utah that’s managed to keep its character despite being so close to urban areas.
