Piute County, Utah

Piute County sits in south-central Utah, a place where history and nature collide. It’s small but packed with character. The county’s named after the Paiute people who’ve called this area home for centuries.
Fishing is popular at Piute State Park. You’ll find some of Utah’s best ATV trails winding through the Tushar Mountains. Circleville is the biggest town, but the whole county has fewer than 2,000 people.
Butch Cassidy grew up around here. Gold fever once gripped the area, but these days it’s all about outdoor recreation. The scenery is something else. Red rock formations, alpine forests, and wide-open skies that’ll take your breath away.
