Wayne County, Utah

Wayne County is right in the middle of southern Utah. One of its highlights is the Capitol Reef, an underrated national park. The Fremont River carves through it with red rock formations rising from the desert floor.
It’s frontier country out here. Vast and rugged, Wayne County is one of the least populated areas in the state. Torrey, the largest town, has fewer than 200 residents. But what it lacks in people, it makes up for in scenery.
Fruit orchards, planted by Mormon pioneers, still thrive in Capitol Reef. Stargazing here is out of this world. Wayne County moves at its own pace. It’s a place for solitude seekers and adventure lovers. History whispers from every canyon wall.
