Sabine Parish, Louisiana

Sabine Location Map Louisiana

Right up against the Texas border, Sabine Parish sits on the western edge of Louisiana. Toledo Bend Reservoir is a massive man-made lake, which forms the parish’s western boundary.

Thick pine forests blanket much of the landscape, broken up by rolling hills and winding creeks. This rural part of the Pelican State has a nice outdoors scene.

The area’s rich history includes Native American settlements, Spanish explorers, and Civil War skirmishes. Today, small towns like Many and Zwolle offer a taste of authentic Louisiana culture without the tourist crowds.
