Tehama County sits in Northern California’s Sacramento Valley, a land of rolling hills, rivers, and agriculture. The county seat, Red Bluff, is known for its historic downtown and annual Red Bluff Round-Up, one of the West’s largest rodeos.
Interstate 5 cuts through the county, making it a convenient stop between Sacramento and Redding. The population is about 66,000, spread across rural communities.
Lassen Volcanic National Park is just east of here. There’s the Tehama Wildlife Area, which is 44,500 acres of grassland and rugged canyons. You also have the Sacramento River running through, which is great for fishing.
