Trinity County, California
Trinity County is way up in the mountains of Northwest California. There is no stoplight in the whole county. That is how rural we are talking.
With a population of just over 15,000, it’s one of the least populated counties in the state. Weaverville is the county seat, and it has got this cool old Chinatown.
The Trinity Alps Wilderness is a hiker’s dream, with jagged peaks, alpine lakes, and miles of trails. Trinity County is for those who crave the great outdoors. It is really remote. But if you are into pristine wilderness and do not mind being far from everything, Trinity is pretty sweet.
