US Counties

Philly. The City of Brotherly Love. It’s Pennsylvania’s most populous county, situated in the southeast corner of the state.

Pike County is located in northeastern Pennsylvania. The Pocono Mountains dominate the landscape here. Lakes, waterfalls, and forests.

Potter County sits in north-central Pennsylvania. They call it “God’s Country” because it’s a place of rugged beauty. It’s sparsely populated.

Schuylkill County is located in east-central Pennsylvania. Pottsville, the county seat, is home to America’s oldest brewery.

Central Pennsylvania is home to Snyder County, where rolling farmland meets forested ridges. The Susquehanna River forms its eastern border.

Somerset County is in southwestern Pennsylvania, bordering Maryland. The Flight 93 National Memorial is right here in Somerset County.

Sullivan County sits in north-central Pennsylvania, surrounded by endless forests. It’s where you can really get away from it all.

Susquehanna County is up in the northeast corner of Pennsylvania. The Endless Mountains give the county its signature look.

Tioga County is in the north-central part of the state. They call it “The Canyon Country” because it’s home to the Pine Creek Gorge.

Union County is right in the middle of Pennsylvania. It’s not huge, but it has a lot going on. The Susquehanna River forms its eastern border.

Oil put Venango County on the map in northwest Pennsylvania. It’s where the world’s first commercial oil well was drilled back in 1859.

Warren County sits up in the northwest corner of Pennsylvania, bordering New York. The Allegheny National Forest covers nearly half.

Washington County is situated just south of Pittsburgh, bordering West Virginia. It has farmland, suburbs, and some decent-sized towns.

Wayne County is right up against New York and New Jersey in northeast Pennsylvania. It’s mostly rural here, with lots of forests and farms.

Westmoreland County is located just east of Pittsburgh in southwest Pennsylvania. The landscape’s a mix of rolling hills and river valleys.
