Wabasha County, Minnesota

Southeast Minnesota is home to Wabasha County. It’s where the Mississippi River flows wide and lazy. It’s not a big county, but it’s got character. The Minnesota Memorial Hardwood State Forest covers the northern half.
Rolling bluffs and fertile farmland stretch across its 550 square miles. Locals are proud of their rich history, dating back to the early 1800s when European settlers first arrived.
The county seat, Wabasha, is the oldest city on the upper Mississippi. Fishing and boating are huge here. You can’t miss the bald eagles soaring overhead. They’re practically the county mascot.
