Weld County, Colorado
Weld County is in northeastern Colorado. Greeley is the biggest city here. This county is known for its rodeo and the smell of cattle feedlots. The area has a mix of farmland and oil fields.
There’s a big Hispanic population, which means great food. University of Northern Colorado (UNC) is in Greeley, so there’s a bit of a college town vibe.
The Pawnee National Grassland is in the eastern part of the county. It’s good for bird watching and stargazing. Parts of the county are becoming suburbs of Denver. But that’s just a product of being next to such a big city.
