Kimball County, Nebraska

The Panhandle of Nebraska is home to Kimball County. It’s right where Nebraska, Wyoming, and Colorado meet. They call it “The High Point of Nebraska.” Literally. The highest elevation in the state is here.
Kimball is the county seat. It used to be a big deal on the Union Pacific railroad. Now it’s just a quiet little town. Farming is still important. Wheat, mostly. But there’s also some oil and natural gas production.
Winters are long and cold. Really cold. The wind never seems to stop blowing. The Panorama Point, Nebraska’s highest spot, is a popular tourist attraction. Well, as popular as anything gets out here.
