Caroline County, Virginia

Caroline County is in the eastern part of Virginia, about halfway between Richmond and Washington D.C. It’s mostly rural, but don’t let that fool you. There’s plenty going on here.
The county has some serious history. John Wilkes Booth was captured here after assassinating Lincoln. Weird claim to fame, but there you have it. Fort A.P. Hill takes up a good chunk of the county. Army stuff, you know?
The Rappahannock River forms part of the northern border. Great for canoeing, if you’re into that. Folks here are proud of their small-town values. It’s the kind of place where people still wave to their neighbors. Lots of farmland. But close enough to the cities if you need a change of pace.
