Kentucky Counties

Located in central Kentucky, Shelby County is where Bluegrass meets the Ohio Valley. Shelbyville is the county seat, located in the center.

Simpson County is in southern Kentucky along the Tennessee border. It’s where history and hospitality come together.

Tucked along the banks of the Ohio River in northern Kentucky, Trimble County is a small, rural area where life moves at a relaxed pace.

Union County is way out in western Kentucky, where the Ohio River makes a big bend. Morganfield is the county seat.

Warren County is in south-central Kentucky, home to Bowling Green and a little car company called Corvette. Maybe you’ve heard of it?

Situated in central Kentucky, Washington County is where history runs as deep as the bourbon barrels. Springfield is the county seat.

Webster County sits in western Kentucky, not far from the Illinois border. Dixon is the county seat, but Providence is the biggest town.

Whitley County hugs the Tennessee border in southeastern Kentucky. Corbin, the largest city, proudly claims to be the birthplace of KFC.

Wolfe County is a slice of eastern Kentucky wilderness. It’s small in population. The Red River Gorge cuts through part of the county.

Woodford County sits in the heart of Kentucky’s Bluegrass region. It’s horse country here, with thoroughbred farms all along the region.
