Located in central Kentucky, Shelby County is where Bluegrass meets the Ohio Valley. Shelbyville is the county seat. It’s known as the “Saddlebred Capital of the World”.
Its rolling pastures and pristine farms are dedicated to breeding some of the finest horses in the country. In fact, the annual Shelbyville Horse Show is a big draw.
Clear Creek Park offers trails, fishing, and a serene escape in nature. Shelbyville is right next to Shelby Lake. The county has a population of about 50,000 and is conveniently situated along I-64.
