Whitley County, Kentucky

Whitley County hugs the Tennessee border in southeastern Kentucky. Corbin, the largest city, proudly claims to be the birthplace of KFC. That’s right. Colonel Sanders cooked up his secret recipe here at Sanders Café.
It’s also known for its chunk of Daniel Boone National Forest. This is where you can hike, camp, and maybe spot a black bear.
It’s not far from Cumberland Falls, nicknamed the “Niagara of the South”. With about 36,000 residents, Whitley County offers a small-town feel and natural beauty in equal measure.
