Clinton County stretches along the Mississippi in eastern Iowa. The county’s population is around 46,000, making it one of the more populous counties in the region.
Clinton is the county seat and biggest city. It was once a lumber boom town. But now it’s known for its minor league baseball team, the LumberKings.
The Great River Road National Scenic Byway winds through the county. It especially has prime leaf-peeping in autumn. Finally, Camanche is proud of its Mississippi River Museum.
