Dewey County, Oklahoma

Dewey County is in the western part of Oklahoma. It’s mostly prairie land, with gently rolling hills and vast open spaces. Cattle ranching is big here. Always has been.
The county was named after Admiral George Dewey, a Spanish-American War hero. Taloga is the county sea. It’s small but full of character. You can see for miles and miles.
Dewey County has seen its share of tough times, from the Dust Bowl to oil busts. But the people here are resilient. They stick together. The sunsets here? Breathtaking. It’s the kind of place where the night sky is so clear, you feel like you can touch the stars.
