Roger Mills County, Oklahoma

Roger Mills County is out in western Oklahoma, bordering Texas. Cheyenne is the county seat and it’s about as small-town as it gets.
The land here is tough, shaped by wind and weather over centuries. It’s flat here. But don’t let the wide-open spaces fool you. There’s plenty going on here.
Farming and ranching are big deals. Oil and gas, too. The county has seen its share of ups and downs. The Dust Bowl hit hard back in the day. People here are resilient though.
