Meigs County, Tennessee

Meigs County sits in the southeastern part of Tennessee, right along the Tennessee River. It’s oriented diagonally. It’s also small. Real small. But don’t let that fool you.
Decatur is the county seat and sits high on a bluff overlooking the river. The views are something else. This place is all about the outdoors. Agriculture is still big here. You’ll see plenty of farms as you drive around.
The county has some interesting history too. Ever heard of the Hiwassee Island site? It’s an ancient Native American village. Pretty cool stuff. The people are friendly. It’s the kind of place where everybody knows everybody. Small town living at its finest.
