Roane County, Tennessee

Roane County is in eastern Tennessee. It’s where the Clinch and Tennessee Rivers meet. This county is all about water. Watts Bar Lake is the main one and is a boater’s paradise.
Kingston, the county seat, has a rich history dating back to 1799. Oak Ridge, partly in Roane, played a big role in the Manhattan Project. Today, it’s still a hub for science and technology.
The county has a good mix of small-town feel and natural beauty. You can grab a bite at a local diner, then go kayaking in the afternoon. Its lakes are great for fishing and water sports. The scenery here is stunning, especially in fall.
