Scott County, Tennessee

Scott Location Map Tennessee

Scott County sits on the northern edge of Tennessee, right up against Kentucky. It’s part of the beautiful Cumberland Plateau. This place is an outdoor lover’s dream.

Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area takes up a big chunk of the county in the northwest. It has some of the best whitewater rafting in Tennessee. Hiking and rock climbing are big here too.

Huntsville is the county seat, but don’t expect a bustling metropolis. Scott’s all about small-town living and natural beauty. The people here are proud of their Appalachian heritage. You can still hear bluegrass music at local gatherings.
