US Counties

Lancaster County sits right in the heart of southeastern Pennsylvania. This is Amish country with America’s oldest Amish settlement here.

Lawrence County is in western Pennsylvania on the Ohio border. New Castle is the biggest town. They call it the “Fireworks Capital of America”.

Lebanon County lies in the heart of the Keystone State. The area has strong Pennsylvania Dutch roots. You can see it in the architecture.

The Lehigh Valley is a special place, and Lehigh County’s right in the thick of it. It’s in east Pennsylvania, close to Philly and New York.

Luzerne County is in northeastern Pennsylvania, part of the Wyoming Valley. Wilkes-Barre is the county seat.

North-central Pennsylvania is home to Lycoming County. It’s the largest county by land area in the state. Williamsport is the county seat.

McKean County sits up in the northern tier of Pennsylvania. It’s rugged and beautiful. The Allegheny National Forest covers the west.

Mercer County is on the Ohio border in West Pennsylvania. It has a bit of everything. Rolling hills, farmland, and some decent-sized towns.

Mifflin County is located in Central Pennsylvania. The Juniata River cuts right through it. The county’s named after Thomas Mifflin.

Monroe County is in northeastern Pennsylvania. It’s a popular getaway spot for city folks. Lakes, waterfalls, and forests bring in tourists.

Montgomery County is just outside Philly with some serious Revolutionary War cred. Yep, Valley Forge National Historical Park is right here.

Montour County is in the heart of Pennsylvania. It’s the state’s smallest county by land area. Danville is the county seat.

Northampton County is in the middle of Lehigh Valley in eastern Pennsylvania. Easton is the county seat next to New Jersey.

Northumberland County is right in the middle of Pennsylvania. It’s where the north and west branches of the Susquehanna River come together.

Central Pennsylvania is home to Perry County, just northwest of Harrisburg. This place is all about natural beauty with its parks and forests.
