Northumberland County, Pennsylvania

Northumberland County is right in the middle of Pennsylvania. It’s where the north and west branches of the Susquehanna River come together. Outdoor lovers have plenty to do here. Hiking and fishing.
The county has deep coal mining roots, and you can still see that history today. But times have changed. Knoebels Amusement Resort is here and is America’s largest free-admission park.
The county seat is Sunbury with some wild history. It’s where Fort Augusta stood during the French and Indian War. These days, it’s more about riverside views. Good people, good food, and a whole lot of history. That’s Northumberland County in a nutshell.
